The Redding Police Department is investigating a reported attempted abduction on Cross Highway in Redding. The incident took place on November 17, 2008 between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm. A lone female was jogging on Cross Highway when a green, older model pick-up truck stopped, the passenger exited the vehicle, approached the victim and grabbed her arm (apparently trying to get her into the vehicle). The victim kickedthe suspect and broke free of the suspect. The suspect vehicle fled westbound on Cross Highway. Attached is a sketch of the suspect.
